Woe to the Pharisees, Part 3

Though the Pharisees were dead, dirty, and blind to their need, can you see your great and desperate need for Christ? As you continue to battle the corruption of your flesh within, always be mindful of how easy it is to focus on polishing how people see you and neglect and cover the issues in your heart and obedience to Christ. Therefore, though Jesus' Gospel call of "first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also" fell on dead ears and hearts in them, may it resound loudly and deeply in you today. The two are inseparably connected! It couldn't be done in their own strength, and it can't in yours either. You need Jesus!
