Daily Devo | Hope That Sees Through the Darkness (Advent 6, Isaiah 9:1–7)
When we are in a dark place, that darkness can seem unending. Hope in God can shine like a light that pierces the darkness. In a very dark moment of Israel's history, God spoke a message of hope through Isaiah. God showed them a future promise of the coming messiah. We, too, are reminded that hope rests not on what we can see, but on who God is.

For Reflection:
"The people who walk in darkness /will see a great light. /For those who live in a land of deep darkness, /a light will shine." - Isaiah 9:2
- Where is there darkness in your life? Does it sometimes feel unending and hopeless? Where do you need God's light of hope to shine into your life?
- Which of God’s promises might speak to the hope that you need?
