Is There Still Hope When Things Feel Final? (Luke 24:1-12) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study

In this first episode of Living the Resurrection Life, we reflect on the women at the empty tomb in Luke 24. When Jesus rose from the dead, He made a way for us to live with hope again, even in places that feel like endings. This contemplative prayer episode invites you to slow down and remember that God is still working. "Why do you seek the living One among the dead? He is not here, but He has risen." (Luke 24:5-6) Questions this episode answers What happened when the women went to the tomb in Luke 24? The women came early on the first day of the week with spices for Jesus' body. They found the stone rolled away and the tomb empty, and two men in dazzling clothing told them Jesus had risen, just as He said. The women then went and told the apostles. What does it mean to live the resurrection life? It means living like the resurrection is true in our own stories, not only on Easter Sunday. Because Jesus is alive, grief, disappointment, and uncertainty do not get the last word. We can face hard seasons with real hope because the One who conquered death is with us. How can I have hope when life feels hopeless? The women at the tomb thought the story was over, but God was already at work. In John 11:25, Jesus called Himself the Resurrection and the Life. Our hope rests on a living Savior, so even what looks like an ending can become a beginning.
