Where Do I Find Peace in Hard Seasons? (Psalm 91) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study

God's Word is the main way He speaks to us, yet we often drift from it when life gets hard. Today we study Psalm 91 and the link between dwelling in God's presence and the peace we feel. Time in Scripture is how we stay in His shelter during difficult seasons. "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty." (Psalm 91:1) Questions this episode answers What does it mean to dwell in the shelter of the Most High? To dwell means to live there, not just visit now and then. Psalm 91 pictures a life that stays close to God through trust, prayer, and His Word. That closeness becomes our place of safety and rest. Does Psalm 91 promise that nothing bad will happen to Christians? Psalm 91 is a promise of God's presence and protection, but the rest of Scripture shows that believers still face suffering. God promises to be with us in trouble (Psalm 91:15). Our deepest safety is that nothing can separate us from Him. How does reading the Bible bring peace? God speaks through His Word, and it reminds us of who He is when our feelings say otherwise. Isaiah 26:3 says He keeps in perfect peace the one whose mind is steadfast and trusts in Him. Staying in Scripture keeps our hearts anchored. Links Psalm 91 invites us to rest in God's shadow, which is the heart of our contemplative Bible Study Live retreat in Maui.
