Does God Really Hear My Prayers? (Psalm 116) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study

We spend a lot of time learning to hear God's voice, but it matters just as much to know that He hears us. Today in Psalm 116 we see how the psalmist responds when God hears his prayer. His example shows us that our response should be praise. "I love the LORD, because He hears My voice and my supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I shall call upon Him as long as I live." (Psalm 116:1-2) Questions this episode answers Does God hear my prayers? Yes. Psalm 116 opens with the psalmist loving the Lord because He heard his voice and his cry for mercy. Scripture promises again and again that God hears His children when they call (1 John 5:14-15). How should I respond when God answers prayer? In Psalm 116 the psalmist responds with love, thanksgiving, and a promise to keep calling on God. He also praises God in front of His people. Thanking God out loud builds our faith and encourages others.
