Why Should We Praise God With Our Whole Heart? (Psalm 111) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study
When we see God as Creator, it humbles us to realize that He chose us and loves us as His creation. Today in Psalm 111 we join the psalmist in praising God with our whole hearts. We look at His great works and what they tell us about who He is. "Great are the works of the LORD; They are studied by all who delight in them." (Psalm 111:2) Questions this episode answers What is Psalm 111 about? Psalm 111 is a song of praise for God's works and character. It celebrates that He is gracious and compassionate, provides for those who fear Him, and keeps His covenant. It ends by calling the fear of the Lord the beginning of wisdom. What does the fear of the Lord mean? The fear of the Lord is deep reverence and awe for who God is. It is not terror, but a humble respect that leads us to trust and obey Him. Psalm 111:10 calls it the beginning of wisdom.
