How Do I Pray When God Seems Far Away in Suffering? (Psalm 10) | Daily Devotional & Bible Study

Psalm 10 is one that is underlined a lot in my Bible. Today we look at how it helps us pray when we are suffering, and how we can take comfort that God hears us and is with us, even while we wait for His justice. "O LORD, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will strengthen their heart, You will incline Your ear" (Psalm 10:17) Questions this episode answers What is Psalm 10 about? Psalm 10 opens by asking why God seems to stand far off in times of trouble. It describes the wicked who prey on the weak and ends with confidence that God hears the humble and defends the oppressed. Why does God's justice sometimes take time? Scripture does not give us every reason, but it shows that God is patient and His timing is right. 2 Peter 3:9 says the Lord is not slow about His promise. Does God hear me when I'm suffering? Yes. Psalm 10:17 says the Lord hears the desire of the humble and strengthens their heart. You are not alone in your pain.
