What Does It Mean to Fully Surrender to God? A Mission Year Story | Daily Devotional & Bible Study

Today I chat with my middle daughter, Addy, as she gives us a report from her mission trip around the world. We talk about what it means to truly surrender to the Lord and let Him have full control. We also talk about what it means to be fully loved by a good, good Father. Questions this episode answers What does it mean to fully surrender to God? Surrender means handing God control of our plans, our comfort, and our future. Jesus modeled this when He prayed, 'not My will, but Yours be done' (Luke 22:42). It is less about giving up and more about trusting Him completely. How do I know God really loves me? God showed His love most clearly at the cross, where Christ died for us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). His love is not earned. It is the love of a good Father who delights in His children. How can I support someone serving in missions? Pray for them faithfully, stay connected, and give as God leads. Encouragement from home can carry a missionary through lonely or hard days.
