Why Silencers May Finally Leave the NFA | Gun Talk Nation

Silencer Shop vs. ATF: Breaking Down the $0 Tax Lawsuit & Suppressor Deregulation - In this episode of Gun Talk Nation, Ryan Gresham sits down with Dave Matheny, founder of Silencer Shop, to unpack a major legal battle that could redefine suppressor ownership in the U.S. They break down the recently filed Silencer Shop Foundation vs. ATF lawsuit, aiming to remove suppressors, short-barrel rifles, and shotguns from the National Firearms Act (NFA) — and it all hinges on the new $0 tax stamp.

Dave explains how technology, legislation, and growing mainstream use are transforming the silencer market, and what it means for gun owners. From lightning-fast wait times to the rise of 3D-printed suppressors, the future is loud — or rather, quiet.
