US Catholic Bishops Elect New Leader

On November 11th, the U.S. Catholic bishops elect their next president and vice president in Baltimore, with half of the ten candidates from the conservative side. The election is a key indicator of the bishops priorities, with some focusing on cultural issues. The outgoing leader, Archbishop Timothy Broglio, will be succeeded by a new president, who will serve a three-year term. The bishops will also discuss immigration during their meeting, with even the most conservative leaders supporting migrants. The Daily News Now! — Every city. Every story. AI-powered.
