Trump Threatens BBC with $1B Lawsuit, Top Execs Resign

Former President Donald Trumps threat to sue the BBC for one billion dollars over an edited speech has led to the resignation of the BBCs director-general and news chief. The lawsuit threat stems from a Panorama documentary that allegedly contained a misleading edit of a speech Trump gave before the Capitol riots. The BBC has been given a deadline to comply with demands, including financial compensation, or face a lawsuit. The crisis has also raised questions about the BBCs funding model and its future.
