Trump Pardons Allies in Election Challenge

Former President Donald Trump issued pardons for key allies involved in challenging the 2020 election results, including Rudy Giuliani, Mark Meadows, Sidney Powell, and John Eastman. These pardons, which do not apply to Trump himself, follow previous pardons for hundreds of Trump supporters involved in the January 6th Capitol riot. The proclamation described efforts to prosecute those who aided Trump as a grave national injustice. Additionally, several Republicans who acted as fake electors for Trump in 2020 were also pardoned.
