Sharaa's White House Visit: Syria's New Alliance

On November tenth, Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa visits the White House, marking a historic moment as the first Syrian leader to do so. This comes after a year of dramatic changes, including Sharaas rise to power and the U.S.s decision to remove him from the terrorist list. The two leaders will discuss security, with plans for a U.S. military presence in Syria and potential membership in a U.S.-led coalition against ISIS. This visit highlights Syrias shift from aligning with Iran to engaging with the U.S.-led camp, reflecting the complex nature of international relations. The Daily News Now! — Every city. Every story.
