Sarkozy's Prison Diaries: A Humanizing Glimpse

Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy shares his personal experiences during his 20-day imprisonment at La Santé prison in his new memoir. He describes his cell as clean and bright, with a running machine in the sports room, and notes the kindness of prison staff who addressed him as President. Sarkozy also recounts receiving numerous postcards from supporters. He compares his situation to that of Alfred Dreyfus and expresses disappointment with current President Emmanuel Macron. Notably, Sarkozy extends an olive branch to his former rival, Marine Le Pen, praising her public support and promising not to block her partys election efforts. The Daily News Now! — Every city.
