SAG Awards Rebranded as Actor Awards

The Screen Actors Guild Awards, or SAG Awards, are rebranding as The Actor Awards to enhance global recognition. This change, announced on November 14th, aligns the ceremony with other major awards like the Oscars, Emmys, and Grammys. The new name, led by union leader Sean Astin, will debut at the 32nd edition in March 2026. The awards will continue to honor outstanding performances, serving as a strong indicator for the Academy Awards. The Daily News Now! — Every city. Every story. AI-powered. Hosted on Acast.
