President Sheinbaum Groped in Mexico City

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum was groped and kissed while greeting the public, sparking discussions on violence against women in Mexico. The incident, caught on video, led to the arrest of the perpetrator. Sheinbaum criticized a newspaper for publishing images of the incident, calling it a re-victimization and an ethical violation. The event has reignited debates on gender-based violence in Mexico, where feminist activists have previously criticized the president for not doing enough to address these issues.
