Mamdani Advises Immigrants on ICE Encounters

New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani advises immigrants on their rights when interacting with ICE, following a recent raid in Manhattan. He emphasizes the importance of knowing ones rights, including the option to decline speaking with agents and the right to refuse entry into private areas. Mamdani clarifies that ICE agents cannot enter homes, schools, or private workplace sections without a warrant, and individuals can remain silent and ask to leave if detained. His message comes after protests against ICE detentions and ahead of his January 1st inauguration, as he pledges to protect and support the citys immigrant community.
