Kenyan Families' Desperate Search for Sons in Ukraine

Kenyan families grapple with the loss of their sons, who were deceived into fighting in Ukraine after being promised well-paying jobs. David Kuloba, one such victim, was lured with a promise of over seven thousand dollars, only to find himself in a battle zone. His mother, Susan Kuloba, received distressing news of his presumed death, with no proof or documentation. Another Kenyan man, recruited as a driver, was also sent to fight, returning traumatized. The Kenyan government is now investigating recruitment agencies, but families feel helpless due to the slow response and the nature of the contracts signed. The Daily News Now! — Every city.
