Jamaica's Hurricane Melissa clean-up challenge is 'overwhelming', Sean Paul says

Sean Paul, the Jamaican reggae superstar, shares his firsthand account of the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa, a category five storm that hit his country. He describes the terror of watching the storm rage outside his home in Kingston and the shock and fear his young children experienced. With many areas facing severe damage and at least twenty-eight deaths reported, Paul expresses his overwhelming feelings of helplessness and the urgent need for aid. He pledges $50,000 to match donations for Food For The Poor Jamaica and coordinates relief efforts with fellow musician Shaggy. Despite the challenges, including damaged roads and blocked areas, hope remains for Jamaica's recovery as more volunteers join in and support is provided. The Daily News Now! — Every city.
