Infant Remains Found in Tuam Burial Ground
Excavation teams in Tuam, County Galway, have discovered a burial ground at the site of a former institution for unmarried mothers and their children. The Office of the Director of Authorised Intervention, Tuam, found graves consistent with those of children or infants, adding to the seven found last month. The institution, owned by Galway County Council and run by the Bon Secours Sisters, has been under investigation since two thousand fourteen due to missing burial records. The excavation is expected to continue until two thousand twenty-seven. The Daily News Now! — Every city. Every story. AI-powered. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
