Hostage's Harrowing Account of Sexual Violence in Gaza

On November sixth, a male Israeli hostage, Rom Braslavski, shared a harrowing account of sexual violence and regular beatings during his two-year captivity in Gaza. This marks the first public accusation of its kind from a male hostage. Braslavski, who was held by Islamic Jihad, described being stripped naked, tied up, and subjected to acts of sexual violence. He was among the last twenty hostages released as part of a ceasefire deal, and his testimony has been highlighted as a living testimony to the nature of militant groups in Gaza.
