Honduras Election: Hand Count Amidst US Involvement

Honduran Presidential Election: A Close Race and U.S. InvolvementHonduran election officials are manually counting votes after a tight presidential race between Nasry Asfura and Salvador Nasralla, with Asfura leading by just over five hundred votes. The election, marked by U.S. involvement, saw former President Juan Orlando Hernandez released from prison following Trumps calls for support and promise of pardon. The close margin has led to a technical tie, causing concerns of potential protests or violence as the count continues. The Daily News Now! — Every city. Every story. AI-powered. Hosted on Acast.
