Hamas Leader Praises Trump for Ceasefire

Doctor Basem Naim, a senior Hamas leader, praised former President Donald Trump for his role in securing a recent ceasefire in the Middle East conflict. This unexpected endorsement comes after Trumps previous hardline stance against Hamas. Naim, who survived an assassination attempt, expressed gratitude for Trumps personal interference and pressure on Israel. The situation in Gaza remains dire, with a humanitarian crisis and calls for a new ruling force. While a ceasefire has been reached, the question of who will govern Gaza remains uncertain, presenting a significant challenge to lasting peace. The Daily News Now! — Every city. Every story.
