Guyana Launches Digital School for Caribbean

Guyanas new online school, the Guyana Digital School, is making waves, offering high-quality education to thousands of students across the country and the wider Caribbean. With over 30,000 students already enrolled, the school provides free access to Caribbean neighbors and even those from India. The initiative, led by Deputy Chief Education Officer Ritesh Tularam, aims to leverage digital tools for education, despite initial concerns about heavy investment. Guyanese President Irfaan Ali and Caribbean leaders, including Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley and Grenadas Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell, have praised the program, which complements the countrys existing free education system and underscores the potential of digital learning in the region.
