Colts Sign Philip Rivers to Practice Squad

In a surprising move, the Indianapolis Colts sign 44-year-old Philip Rivers to their practice squad, aiming to bolster their depleted roster amidst a quarterback crisis. With starter Daniel Jones out for the season and backup Riley Leonard injured, the Colts are desperate for experienced players. Rivers, a former eight-time Pro Bowler, returns to the NFL after coaching high school football, bringing a wealth of experience but raising questions about his game shape and playbook familiarity. The Colts, currently on a three-game losing streak, hope Rivers can provide leadership and help them make a playoff push, starting with their next game against Seattle.
