Cloudflare Outage Disrupts Major Websites

On December 5th, major websites like LinkedIn, Zoom, and Canva experienced outages due to new issues with Cloudflare, a web infrastructure company. Despite Cloudflares earlier fix announcement, many websites remained blank throughout the morning, even affecting DownDetector. With about one-fifth of all websites using Cloudflares services, such incidents highlight a critical vulnerability in the internets design. This isnt the first time Cloudflare has faced challenges, with similar outages in November and October, emphasizing the interconnectedness of our digital world and the significant impact when core infrastructure falters.
