Children Fleeing Sudan's Violence Arrive Alone
Hundreds of children, separated from their families, have arrived at a refugee camp in Tawila, Darfur, after fleeing violence in el-Fasher. The Rapid Support Forces takeover of el-Fasher has displaced over one hundred thousand individuals, with at least four hundred children arriving alone. These children, showing signs of hunger and psychological distress, have witnessed extreme violence, including the disappearance of mothers and family members. Aid workers are providing support, but conditions remain dire. The conflict between the RSF and the military, which began in 2023, has resulted in at least forty thousand deaths and twelve million displaced people. The Daily News Now! — Every city. Every story.
