Ben Soppitt's Personal Mission: Honoring Forgotten Soldiers

Ben Soppitt, a grandson of a soldier buried in Basras neglected war cemetery, criticizes the Commonwealth War Graves Commission for failing to properly honor over 50,000 UK and Commonwealth soldiers who died in Iraq wars. Despite plans for restoration, security concerns and lack of action have led to the cemeterys deterioration, with many graves unmarked and the site used for recreation. Soppitt advocates for proper commemoration before passing the mission to future generations. The Daily News Now! — Every city. Every story. AI-powered. Hosted on Acast.
