We Broke The Faster-Than-Light Barrier. We Dropped Out Of Warp Inside A Living Nightmare

📖 Written by Galactic Horrors

The first human FTL crew drops out of warp expecting to see a new starfield and instead finds the forward viewport filled with slick red tissue stretching for miles around the ship, a living tunnel with no stars beyond it. An exterior probe confirms the scale: their vessel is a tiny metal splinter inside ribbed muscular walls, surrounded by drifting acid droplets like burning moons. What first reads as a nebula becomes unmistakably biological as the “clouds” contract, revealing vein-rivers, cilia forests, and slow crushing waves pushing them deeper. Behind them, the warp rupture seals shut like a wound, strands of luminous flesh knitting across the only visible exit.
