The Arizona Abomination: What Lies Beneath The Desert | Sci-Fi Creepypasta Story

📖 Written by Galactic Horrors

A Border Patrol agent pursuing a coyote through an unmapped tunnel system under Arizona stumbles into a smuggling run that is not moving drugs, guns, or migrants, but a wounded nonhuman captive. In the beam of a dropped flashlight, the thing first looks child-sized on its stretcher, then unfolds into something unmistakably alien: backward-jointed legs, flexible gray cartilage plating, a ribcage working like gills, and hands crowded with too many fine, surgical fingers. Before the agent can decide whether he is looking at a victim, a weapon, or a hallucination brought on by the underground air, a black-ops retrieval team seals the known exits and floods the maze with nerve gas, turning the pursuit into a containment operation he was never meant to survive. As the tunnels begin collapsing in controlled stages, a dying coyote confesses that the passages were never carved for smuggling at all. Cartel crews only found them after breaking into something ancient, already hollow, and far older than the border above it.
