Miranda Webb of Anarchapulco and the HBO series The Anarchist on The Mark Edge Show

Miranda Webb, featured in HBO's documentary series The Anarchists, joins Mark Edge to set the record straight on what the show got right, what it left out, and what it was actually like to live through it. She speaks candidly about the abusive relationship with her late partner, the circumstances surrounding his death in Acapulco, and why she believes the series softened a far darker reality. Miranda also opens up about the practical realities of living as a fugitive in Mexico for the past six years, from the impossibility of opening a bank account to the constant risk of immigration checkpoints, and why she has chosen to stay rather than turn herself in to face charges in Ohio. The conversation covers the difficulty of finding legal representation, the cost of justice in the American system, and her plans to eventually pursue Mexican citizenship. The episode closes on a lighter note as Miranda discusses her new role as director of operations for Anarchapulco, how the event has evolved from its chaotic early years into a more family oriented and growth focused gathering, and what is coming next with Liberpulco, the Gratitude Gathering, and Anarchapulco 2027 in Puerto Vallarta.
