Sl: V Bledski kavarni, kjer poletni sončni žarki nežno padajo skozi velika okna, se začne običajen dan.
En: In the Bled café, where the summer sunrays gently fall through the large windows, an ordinary day begins.
Sl: Anja, mlada in vedoželjna natakarica, pripravlja mize.
En: Anja, a young and curious waitress, prepares the tables.
Sl: Kava diši vsepovsod.
En: The aroma of coffee wafts everywhere.
En: Wooden chairs are placed to face Lake Bled, which glistens in the morning light.
En: Despite the day's routine, Anja is always full of anticipation about what the day will bring.
Sl: Na eni izmed miz, tik ob oknu, Anja opazi pismo.
En: On one of the tables, right by the window, Anja notices a letter.
Sl: Je staro in rumenkasto, z oškrbanimi robovi.
En: It's old and yellowed, with frayed edges.
Sl: Seveda, to ni nekaj običajnega.
En: Certainly, this is not something ordinary.
Sl: Hitro preleti kavarnico s pogledom.

Sl: Vsak dan naroči isti kapučino in vedno prinese s sabo knjigo.
En: Every day he orders the same cappuccino and always brings a book with him.
En: Sometimes he reads just a few pages, other times he lingers his gaze on the cover, as if pondering something deep.
En: The thought of a connection between Tomaž and the letter intrigues Anja.
Sl: V naslednjih dneh opazuje Tomaža natančneje.
En: In the following days, she observes Tomaž more closely.
En: She notices how Tomaž often glances at the table where she found the letter, but he never inquires about it.
En: This is enough for Anja to decide to investigate a little deeper.
Sl: V nekem trenutku, ko mu prinese kapučino, sramežljivo omeni pismo.
En: At one point, when she brings him his cappuccino, she shyly mentions the letter.
Sl: »Nekdo je pustil zanimivo pisanje tisti dan, ko ste tu sedeli,« reče nežno.
En: "Someone left an interesting writing the day you were sitting here," she says gently.
Sl: Tomaž na kratko zamrzne, nato nasmehne.
En: Tomaž briefly freezes, then smiles.
Sl: »Ali ga še imate?
En: "Do you still have it?"
Sl: « vpraša, njegov glas je napet in radoveden.
En: he asks, his voice tense and curious.
En: Anja feels she has seized the right moment.
