En: Matej was sitting on a bench by Lake Bled.

Sl: Hladno jesensko sonce mu je segrevalo obraz.
En: The cool autumn sun warmed his face.

Sl: Okoli njega so se prelili zlato rumeni in rdečkasti listi.
En: Around him, golden yellow and reddish leaves swirled.

Sl: Čutil je, kako mu narava počasi pomirja nemirno srce.
En: He felt nature slowly calming his restless heart.

Sl: Zrak je bil svež, poln vonja mokrih listov in bližajoče zime.
En: The air was fresh, full of the scent of wet leaves and the approaching winter.

Sl: Pred nekaj tedni je Matej obiskal zdravnika.
En: A few weeks ago, Matej visited the doctor.

En: The diagnosis turned his world upside down.

Sl: Srčna bolezen.
En: Heart disease.

Sl: Besede zdravnika so mu odmevale v glavi kot vztrajno bitje metronoma: "Bodite previdni.
En: The doctor's words echoed in his head like the steady ticking of a metronome: "Be careful.

Sl: Poskrbite zase.
En: Take care of yourself."

Sl: " Strah pred neznanim ga je ohromil.
En: The fear of the unknown paralyzed him.

Sl: Kaj če.
En: What if...?

En: In these thoughts, Matej found solace in nature.

En: Today, he came to Bled for the first time in a long while.

En: Perhaps he would find the answers he was seeking.

En: With his feet submerged in the cold water, he contemplated everything that mattered to him: his students, the history books he loved to read, the life he wished to continue living.

Sl: Okoli njega so se sprehajali turisti.
En: Tourists strolled around him.

En: Some were admiring Bled Castle, majestically perched on a steep cliff.

En: Matej gazed at the castle, thought about the past, and the stories he used to tell his students.

En: History was like a reflection on the smooth surface of the lake—always present, always changing.

Sl: Nenadoma je začutil mir.
En: Suddenly, he felt a sense of peace.

En: His heart, previously caught in a storm of doubts, calmed down.

En: He realized that his fear was unreachable.

Sl: Strah mu je preprečeval videti lepoto trenutka.
En: Fear had prevented him from seeing the beauty of the moment.

Sl: Lepoto tega, kar je imel zdaj.
En: The beauty of what he had now.

En: And now, here, by this beautiful lake, he decided not to let fear influence him.

Sl: Matej je vstal.
En: Matej stood up.

Sl: Globoko...
