Sl: Piran se je kopal v zlati svetlobi jesenskega sonca.
En: Piran was bathed in the golden light of the autumn sun.

Sl: Zrak je bil poln vonja po morju, premešanega s sladkim vonjem zrelega sadja in zelišč.
En: The air was filled with the scent of the sea, mixed with the sweet aroma of ripe fruit and herbs.

Sl: Tržnica je bila polna življenja.
En: The market was buzzing with life.

Sl: Na stojnicah so bile razporejene buče, smokve in kostanji, obarvani z vsemi odtenki jeseni.
En: Stalls were lined with pumpkins, figs, and chestnuts, colored in all the shades of autumn.

Sl: Luka, mladi kuhar z velikimi sanjami, je hodil med stojnicami.
En: Luka, a young chef with big dreams, walked among the stalls.

Sl: Njegove oči so se lesketale od veselja ob pogledu na sveže pridelke.

Sl: ""Želim ustvariti jed, ki bo ujela dušo jeseni," je Luka odgovoril in se zmedeno ozrl okoli.
En: "I want to create a dish that captures the soul of autumn," Luka replied, looking around confusedly.

Sl: "Ampak ne vem, kaj izbrati.
En: "But I don't know what to choose."

Sl: ""Nič ne skrbi," je dejala Maja, njene oči pa so zaiskrile.
En: "Don't worry," Maja said, her eyes sparkling.

Sl: "Pustiti moraš, da ti pridelki povedo svojo zgodbo.
En: "You must let the produce tell their story.

Sl: Poslušaj, kaj pravijo.
En: Listen to what they say."

Sl: "Peljala ga je do stojnice s svežimi smokvami.
En: She led him to a stall with fresh figs.

Sl: "Te smokve so z vrta moje none," je rekla ponosno.
En: "These figs are from my grandmother's garden," she said proudly.

Sl: "So sladke kot njene zgodbe in mehke kot njene pesmi.
En: "They are as sweet as her stories and as soft as her songs."

Sl: "Nato je pokazala na redko zelišče, timijan.
En: Then she pointed to a rare herb, thyme.

Sl: "To je posebna vrsta, ki raste le tu.
En: "This is a special kind that grows only here.

Sl: Moja družina ga uporablja v starem receptu za enolončnico.
En: My family uses it in an old stew recipe.

Sl: Želiš preizkusiti?
En: Would you like to try it?"
