Story Transcript:

Sl: Vetrovni popoldan je počasi vlekel oblake nad Ljubljano.
En: A windy afternoon slowly pulled the clouds over Ljubljana.

Sl: Tivoli Park je dihal v jesenskem razcvetu.
En: Tivoli Park breathed in autumn's bloom.

En: The trees flaunted colors of red, orange, and yellow, as if they were dressed for an important occasion.

Sl: Mladi in stari so se sprehajali po tlakovanih poteh, medtem ko so se otroci igrali igre pod nadzorom svojih staršev.
En: Young and old strolled along the paved paths, while children played games under the watchful eyes of their parents.

Sl: Ob čudovitih barvah parka, na piknik odeji iz živahnih vzorcev, sta sedela Mateja in Andrej.
En: Amidst the beautiful colors of the park, sitting on a picnic blanket with vibrant patterns, were Mateja and Andrej.

Sl: Njune košare so bile polne sendvičev, jabolčne pite in termoskavega čaja, ki je grel njihove dlani.
En: Their baskets were full of sandwiches, apple pie, and thermos of tea that warmed their hands.

Sl: Mateja je zaskrbljeno pogledala svojega mlajšega brata.
En: Mateja looked at her younger brother with concern.

En: “Andrej, we need to talk about our parents,” she began in a soft voice.

En: “I know, but it seems like you always make decisions without consulting me,” Andrej replied quietly, looking at his hands that were playing with a leaf, already nearly crumbling.

En: Mateja took a deep breath and gazed into the profound silence of the park.

En: Her role as a caretaker weighed heavily on her, but now was the opportunity to start sharing this burden.

Sl: "Res je," je rekla iskreno.
En: “It’s true,” she said honestly.

Sl: "Morda sem bila preveč zaščitniška. Ampak potrebujem tvojo pomoč. Kaj misliš?"
En: “Maybe I've been too overprotective. But I need your help. What do you think?”

Sl: Andrej se je presenečeno zazrl vanjo.
En: Andrej looked at her in surprise.

Sl: "Res? Bi res želela moje ideje?"
En: “Really? You would actually want my ideas?”

Sl: "Seveda, obema nama sta mama in oče pomembna. Povej, kaj predlagaš?" Matejine oči so bile sedaj mehkejše, odprte za bratovo mnenje.
En: “Of course, both mom and dad are important to us. Tell me, what do you propose?” Mateja’s eyes were now softer, open to her brother’s opinion.

Sl: Andrej je pogumno začel deliti svoje misli.
En: Andrej bravely began to share his thoughts.

En: “I was thinking we could visit them every week. You during weekdays, I on weekends. That way, we’d know what's happening and could quickly help if needed.”

En: Mateja nodded, a slight smile spreading slowly across her face.

Sl: "To je dobra zamisel,...
