Story Transcript:
Sl: Pomladni dnevi v Ljubljani so nekaj posebnega.
En: Spring days in Ljubljana are something special.
En: The Ljubljanica river flows slowly, and the flowers along the river boast vibrant colors.
En: The cafés nearby are perfect for afternoon lounging.
En: Maja was sitting in one of these cafés, lost in thoughts about the future after finishing her studies.
En: On the table, there was one more slice of Prekmurska gibanica.
Sl: Prav zadnja kos.
En: The very last piece.
Sl: Slastna, z vonjem po makovih semenih in cimetu.
En: Delicious, with a scent of poppy seeds and cinnamon.
En: Maja was tempted to indulge.
En: At the same time, Luka appeared behind her, who had also noticed the sweet treasure.
Sl: "Ali še tole zadnjo?" je vprašal Luka, s kančkom oklevanja v glasu.
En: "Do you want this last one?" Luka asked, with a hint of hesitation in his voice.
Sl: Maja se je nasmehnila.
En: Maja smiled.
Sl: "Imam predlog. Delimo?" je predlagala.
En: "I have a suggestion. Shall we share?" she proposed.
Sl: S komaj opazno zadrego sta sedla za isto mizo.
En: With barely noticeable awkwardness, they sat at the same table.
En: Maja was thinking about her future, while Luka was contemplating his art.
En: Gradually, their stories began to intertwine.
En: "Tell me, what are you afraid of after graduation?" Luka asked as they earnestly shared the crumbs of the pastry.
En: “That I won't find my path,” Maja admitted.
Sl: "In ti? Zakaj iščeš navdih?"
En: "And you? Why are you seeking inspiration?"
Sl: "Blokada," je enostavno odvrnil Luka.
En: “Block,” Luka simply replied.
Sl: "Morda sem izgubil muzo."
En: “Maybe I've lost my muse.”
En: As they talked, Luka pulled a notebook out of his pocket.
Sl: Njegova roka je začela risati; svinčnik je hitro zarisal Maju, ujeto v trenutku, polnem strasti in upanja.
En: His hand began to draw; the pencil quickly sketched Maja, captured in a moment full of passion and hope.
En: With each stroke of the pencil, Luka distanced himself further from his block.
En: Maja, with fears about her future career, looked through the window, but her image on paper conjured something more.
En: "Take this as a thank you," Luka said and showed her the sketch.
Sl: Bilo je...
