Story Transcript:

Sk: V sviežom jarnom ráne, kedy sa slnko lenivo ťahalo nad horizontom, Marek sa prechádzal po svojej farme.
En: On a fresh spring morning, when the sun was lazily pulling itself over the horizon, Marek was walking around his farm.

Sk: Farmu zdedil po dedovi a každý kúsok pôdy mal preňho veľký význam.
En: He had inherited the farm from his grandfather, and every piece of land meant a lot to him.

Sk: Vôkol neho sa rozkladali rozkvitnuté polia a hustá zeleň kopcov.
En: Blooming fields and the dense greenery of hills spread all around him.

Sk: Vzduch bol nasiaknutý vôňou kvitnúcich kvetov a čerstvo oranej pôdy.
En: The air was filled with the scent of blooming flowers and freshly plowed soil.

Sk: Jana, usilovná a vtipná susedka, vedela vždy rozveseliť Mareka, a Viktor, jej brat, bol taktiež dobrý priateľ.

Sk: Tento pokoj však narušil náhly zvuk kriku a tľapkania kopyt proti zemi.
En: However, this calm was disrupted by the sudden sound of shouting and the pounding of hooves against the ground.

Sk: Od stodoly sa dvíhal hustý čierny dym.
En: Thick black smoke was rising from the barn.

Sk: "Oheň!
En: "Fire!"

Sk: " zvolala Jana.
En: called out Jana.

Sk: Všetci traja sa rýchlo rozbehli smerom k ohňu.
En: All three of them quickly ran toward the fire.

Sk: Plamene už šľahali vysoko do neba.
En: The flames were already reaching high into the sky.

Sk: "Musíme zachrániť zvieratá!
En: "We have to save the animals!"

Sk: " kričal Marek s panikou v očiach.
En: shouted Marek, panic in his eyes.

Sk: Stodola držala ich vzácne kravy a ovce, ktoré boli jadrom farmárskeho hospodárstva.
En: The barn held their precious cows and sheep, which were the core of the farm's economy.

Sk: Viktor, pohotový a hlučný, navrhol, že by mohli využiť starú čerpadlo na vodu a traktor, aby dostali vodu k ohňu.
En: Viktor, quick-witted and loud, suggested that they could use the old water pump and tractor to get water to the fire.

Sk: Marek váhal – nechcel riskovať bezpečnosť ani jedného z nich.
En: Marek hesitated—he didn’t want to risk the safety of any of them.

Sk: Vedel, že čerpadlo je staré a môže zlyhať, ale čas bežal.
En: He knew the pump was old and could fail, but time was running out.

Sk: Videl, ako Jana bez zaváhania naháňa kravy do bezpečia.
En: He saw Jana, without hesitation, herding the cows to safety.

Sk: Spolu s Viktorom uviazali hadicu na traktor a vydali sa s ním smerom k potoku.
En: Together with Viktor, they tied the hose to the tractor and headed toward the stream.

Sk: S odhodlaním a veľkou dávkou odvahy sa im podarilo načerpať vodu a nasmerovať ju k horiacemu dymu.
En: With determination and a great dose of courage, they managed to pump water and direct it to the blazing smoke.

Sk: Žiaľ, plamene už stihli poškodiť veľkú časť stodoly, ale hlavne – stádo bolo zachránené.
En: Unfortunately, the flames had already damaged a large part of the barn, but most importantly—the herd was saved.

Sk: "Marek, potrebujeme pomoc!
En: "Marek, we need help!"

Sk: " zvolala Jana, potichu dúfajúc, že prichádzajú ďalší z dediny.
En: called out Jana, quietly hoping that more villagers were coming.
