Sk: V jednej svetlej zmrzlinárni v modernom predmestí, kde vonkajším vzduchom poletujú lístie jesene, si Marek vybral popoludnie na ochutnávanie nových sezónnych chutí.
En: In a bright ice cream shop in a modern suburb, where the outside air is filled with the autumn leaves, Marek chose an afternoon to taste new seasonal flavors.

Sk: Bol to deň, keď slnko svietilo cez veľké okná a v paróle sa šírila vôňa rozličných sladkostí.
En: It was a day when the sun shone through large windows and the aroma of various sweets spread in the parlor.

Sk: Marek, známy nadšenec zmrzliny, vkročil s nadšením a hľadal najnovšiu príchuť – tekvicovú.

Sk: Lenka z tých slov vyvodila zvláštnu príchuť, ktorú si obrátila vo svojej mysli.

Sk: Zatiaľ čo sa Marek snažil vysvetliť jej, čo presne chce, Jozef, pravidelný návštevník, sedel za stolom a krútil hlavou.

Sk: „Takéto moderné príchute sú smiešne,“ zamrmlal.

Sk: „Neboj sa, Lenka,“ povedal láskavo.
En: "Don't worry, Lenka," he said kindly.

Sk: “ Nakoniec sa Lenke podarilo nájsť správnu nádobu a veselo naložila jeho pohár.

Sk: A práve v tej chvíli nastal zmätok – Jozef, keď šiel okolo, omylom ochutnal hromádku zmrzliny.
En: And just at that moment, chaos ensued – Jozef, as he passed by, accidentally tasted a scoop of ice cream.

Sk: Zastavil.
En: He stopped.

Sk: „Hej, toto nie je zlé,“ priznal Jozef s prekvapením.
