Sk: Ján stál na palube lode, ktorá sa pomaly plavila po Dunaji.
En: Ján stood on the deck of a ship that was slowly sailing along the Danube.

Sk: Jarné slnko jemne osvetľovalo hladinu rieky.
En: The spring sun gently illuminated the surface of the river.

Sk: Bratislava sa za ním rysovala ako tiché pozadie jeho myšlienok.
En: Bratislava loomed behind him as a quiet backdrop to his thoughts.

Sk: Popri brehoch Dunaja zelenejúci sa stromy tancovali vo vetre.
En: Along the banks of the Danube, the greening trees danced in the wind.

Sk: Ľudia na brehu chodili na prechádzku, deti behali a smiali sa.
En: People on the shore strolled, children ran and laughed.

Sk: Ján mal rád takéto dni.
En: Ján loved days like this.

Sk: Bolo to obdobie, keď život okolo neho pulzoval a pripomínal mu, aké je bytie pestré a plné možností.
