Story Transcript:
Sk: Marek sa zastavil pred dverami malej kaviarne v srdci Bratislavy.
En: Marek stopped in front of the door of a small café in the heart of Bratislava.
Sk: Bola jar a ulice mesta boli plné zelene a kvetov.
En: It was spring and the streets of the city were full of greenery and flowers.
Sk: Na chvíľu zaváhal.
En: He hesitated for a moment.
En: "Will it be like it used to be?" he thought.
Sk: Vo vzduchu sa vznášala vôňa čerstvo praženej kávy a staré drevené stoly vnútri vyžarovali útulnosť.
En: The smell of freshly roasted coffee floated in the air, and the old wooden tables inside exuded coziness.
En: Marek remembered how he used to sit here with Jana and Peter during university years, laughing and planning the world.
Sk: Vošiel a našiel voľný stôl pri okne.
En: He entered and found a free table by the window.
En: While he waited, he pondered what had changed over the years.
Sk: Zo zahraničia sa vrátil len nedávno.
En: He had just recently returned from abroad.
En: The world seemed foreign to him, and so did his own country.
Sk: Potreboval nájsť cestu späť k svojim koreňom, a kde inde začať, ak nie s priateľmi?
En: He needed to find a way back to his roots, and where better to start than with friends?
Sk: Jana vkročila prvá.
En: Jana entered first.
Sk: So sebou priniesla vánok zmeny.
En: She brought with her a breeze of change.
Sk: Krátke vlasy z rámca tváre, úsmev stále priateľský.
En: Short hair framing her face, her smile still friendly.
Sk: Nasledoval Peter s typickým energickým krokom.
En: Peter followed with his typically energetic stride.
En: "Marek, it's been a long time," said Jana, her eyes gleaming as she looked at him.
Sk: „Áno, som rád, že ste prišli,“ odpovedal Marek s obchodom.
En: "Yes, I'm glad you came," Marek responded with sincerity.
Sk: Objednali si kávu, ako to bývalo zvykom.
En: They ordered coffee, as was their custom.
Sk: O chvíľu na nich dýchol čas cez šálky plné espressa.
En: In a moment, time breathed on them through cups full of espresso.
Sk: Začali sa rozprávať.
En: They began to talk.
Sk: Najskôr o práci, o živote.
En: At first about work, about life.
En: But then, as the hand stopped trembling and the voice strengthened, they touched upon topics that once connected them.
En: "Marek, why did you leave?" Peter asked directly, surprising Marek.
En: "I had to... try something new. But now I know it's not everything," admitted Marek honestly.
En: It seemed their conversation...
