Sk: V Tatrách, medzi vysokými borovicami a žltými listami vyzeral domček ako miesto z rozprávky.
En: In the Tatry, among the tall pines and yellow leaves, the cottage looked like a place from a fairy tale.

Sk: Bolo chladné jesenné ráno, keď sa Marek zastavil na prahu s dvoma kufríkmi.
En: It was a chilly autumn morning when Marek stopped at the doorstep with two suitcases.

Sk: Chcel urobiť niečo dôležité.
En: He wanted to do something important.

Sk: Už dávno sa rozhodol, že je čas, aby sa jeho rodina opäť zblížila.
En: He had long decided that it was time for his family to become close again.

Sk: Zuzana a Lenka už boli vnútri.
En: Zuzana and Lenka were already inside.

Sk: Vykurovaná kabína voňala po dreve a čerstvom chlebe.
En: The heated cabin smelled of wood and fresh bread.

Sk: Zuzana, vždy praktická, organizovala kuchyňu.
En: Zuzana, always practical, was organizing the kitchen.

Sk: "Marek, konečne tu si!

Sk: Potrebujeme viac dreva do krbu," povedala, keď ho uvidela.

Sk: Lenka sedela pri okne, pozerala na hory.
En: Lenka was sitting by the window, looking at the mountains.

Sk: Mala v očiach niečo zvláštne, ako by sa pýtala sama seba, či má zdieľať svoju tajnú správu.
En: There was something peculiar in her eyes, as if she were asking herself whether to share her secret message.

Sk: "Marek, budeš mať prípitok?
En: "Marek, will you have a toast?"

Sk: " opýtala sa Zuzana.
En: Zuzana asked.

Sk: Rozhodol sa, že teraz je čas.
En: He decided that now was the time.

Sk: "Áno.
En: "Yes.

Sk: Rád by som sa porozprával o našej rodine.
En: I would like to talk about our family."

Sk: " Začali hovoriť.
En: They began to talk.

Sk: Hovorili o spomienkach, ktoré spájajú, ale aj o tých starých krivdách, ktoré ich rozdeľovali.
En: They spoke about the memories that united them, but also about those old grievances that divided them.

Sk: Marek sa naučil viac počúvať a menej súdiť.
En: Marek learned to listen more and judge less.

Sk: O hodinu neskôr všetci sedeli pri ohni.
En: An hour later, they all sat by the fire.

Sk: Uhlíky v krbe praskali a teplý vzduch ich spoločne zahaľoval.
En: The embers in the fireplace crackled, and the warm air enveloped them together.

Sk: "Musím vám niečo povedať," povedala Lenka ticho.
En: "I have to tell you something," Lenka said quietly.

Sk: Vrátila sa zo zahraničia so správou, ktorá ich prekvapila.
