Sk: Vo vzduchu bol cítiť vôňu pečených gaštanov a škorice.
En: There was a smell of roasted chestnuts and cinnamon in the air.

Sk: Vonkajšie listy sa ligotali vo vetre ako drahokamy, odkrývajúc okná jedálne.
En: The outside leaves glittered in the wind like jewels, revealing the dining room windows.

Sk: V tejto neopísateľne pokojnej atmosfére sa však schyľovalo k rodinnej búrke.
En: In this indescribably peaceful atmosphere, however, a family storm was brewing.

Sk: Matúš, Jana a Katarína sa zišli okolo stolu pokrytého tradičnými slovenskými jedlami.
En: Matúš, Jana, and Katarína gathered around a table covered with traditional Slovak dishes.

Sk: Tento týždeň bol pre rodinu dôležitý – Jana práve dostala povýšenie v práci, čo naplnilo celú rodinu pýchou a radosťou.

Sk: No Matúša to len posmelilo otvoriť ústa, ktoré tak dlho zadržiavali jeho pocity.

Sk: "Jana, vieš, všetci ťa tu obdivujú, ale ja... mám pocit, že ma nikto nevidí," začal opatrne, hlas sa mu triasol.
En: "Jana, you know, everyone admires you here, but I... feel like no one sees me," he began cautiously, his voice trembling.

Sk: "Počúvam len o tom, aká si úspešná. Ale ja som tiež tu. Môj život nie je taký ako tvoj, ale aj ja si zaslúžim trochu úcty," pokračoval, snažiac sa udržať očný kontakt so sestrou.
En: "I only hear about how successful you are. But I am here too. My life isn’t like yours, but I too deserve a little respect," he continued, trying to maintain eye contact with his sister.

Sk: Jana sa na Matúša pozrela, šokovaná jeho slovami.
