Story Transcript:
Sk: V strede Bratislavy, kde sa deň spája s večerom, ulicami Starého Mesta sa niesol tajomný zvuk.
En: In the heart of Bratislava, where day merges with evening, a mysterious sound echoed through the streets of the Old Town.
Sk: Klopkanie, rýchle a mechanické.
En: A tapping, quick and mechanical.
Sk: Obyvatelia len pokrčili plecami a turistov mátalo.
En: The residents merely shrugged, while tourists were haunted by it.
Sk: Neboli si istí, či je zvuk skutočný alebo len plod ich predstavivosti.
En: They weren't sure if the sound was real or just a product of their imagination.
Sk: Miloš nemohol spávať.
En: Miloš couldn't sleep.
Sk: Bol zvedavý a tento zvuk si zamiloval.
En: He was curious, and he had developed a fondness for this sound.
Sk: "Zuzana," oslovil svoju kamarátku.
En: "Zuzana," he addressed his friend.
Sk: "Pôjdeme na výpravu. Potrebujem tvoj zmysel pre dobrodružstvo."
En: "We're going on an expedition. I need your sense of adventure."
Sk: Zuzana, s očami plnými nadšenia, súhlasila okamžite.
En: Zuzana, her eyes full of excitement, agreed immediately.
Sk: Milovala preskúmavanie tajomstiev mesta, ktoré mala tak rada.
En: She loved exploring the mysteries of the city she was so fond of.
Sk: "Vieš, všetky tie staré mestské povesti," usmiala sa.
En: "You know, all those old city legends," she smiled.
Sk: "Mnohé z nich sú pravdivé."
En: "Many of them are true."
Sk: Spoločne sa pustili do starých uličiek, medzi kamenné múry, ktoré dýchali históriou.
En: Together they ventured into the old alleyways, between stone walls that breathed history.
Sk: Jesenné lístie padalo zo stromov, farbiac zem do teplých odtieňov hnedého, oranžového a žltého.
En: Autumn leaves fell from the trees, coloring the ground in warm shades of brown, orange, and yellow.
Sk: Čím viac kráčali, tým sa zvuk stával hlasitejším.
En: The more they walked, the louder the sound became.
Sk: A zároveň nezrozumiteľnejším.
En: And simultaneously more incomprehensible.
Sk: Odraz zvuku luskolaciakové domy, skrýval sa pred nimi.
En: The echo of the sound bounced off the stone houses, hiding from them.
Sk: "Tuši niekdě tu, počuješ?" opýtal sa Miloš, keď sa blížili k starodávnej veži, ktorá už roky stála bez pohybu.
En: "Do you sense it's somewhere here? Can you hear it?" asked Miloš as they approached an ancient tower, which had stood still for years.
Sk: "Veža! To je ono!"
En: "The tower! That's it!"
Sk: Bola to stará veža hodinová.
En: It was an old clock tower.
Sk: Mala už dávno zastavené hodiny na deviatej.
En: Its clock had long been stopped at nine o'clock.
Sk: No zvuk, ten pretrvával.
En: Yet the sound persisted.
Sk: Zuzana našla malý otvor, do ktorého sa len hasiaca ruka zmestila.
En: Zuzana found a small opening, just big enough for a hand to fit through.
Sk: "Miloš, tu!" zavolala napäto.
En: "Miloš, here!" she called out tensely.
Sk: Našli tajnú komnatu.
En: They discovered a secret chamber.
Sk: Vnútri stálo staré automatické zariadenie, ktoré kedysi dávno tikalo spolu s hodinami.
En: Inside stood an old automatic device that had once ticked along with the clock.
Sk: Bola to časť mesta, na ktorú zabudli.
En: It was a part of the city that had been forgotten.
