Story Transcript:

En: The wind whistled across the Arctic tundra, carrying with it a sharp chill.

Lt: Giedrė stovėjo šalia nedidelės krautuvės užmiestyje, laukdama Roku, kuris atrodė pasimetęs.
En: Giedrė stood next to a small countryside store, waiting for Rokas, who seemed lost.

En: She had been traveling through such lands for a long time, and this was Rokas's first trip to such a place.

Lt: Staiga užeinanti audra ir besikeičiantis oras greitai priminė, kodėl pasiruošimas buvo toks svarbus.
En: The sudden incoming storm and changing weather quickly reminded them why preparation was so important.

Lt: "Ką daryti, jei blogai pasirinksiu?" - kėlė sau klausimą Rokas, stebėdamas aprangos pasirinkimo sąrašą.
En: "What if I choose wrong?" Rokas questioned himself, looking at the list of clothing options.

Lt: Nežinojo, kaip tinkamai apsirengti tokiam šaltui, bet gailėjosi išleisti daug pinigų ant brangesnės aprangos.
En: He didn't know how to dress properly for such cold, but he hesitated to spend a lot of money on more expensive clothing.

Lt: Krautuvė pasiūlė kelias šiltas striukes ir vilnos megztinius.
En: The store offered several warm jackets and woolen sweaters.

Lt: Giedrė matė, kad Rokas dvejoja.
En: Giedrė saw that Rokas was hesitating.

En: She gently said, "I understand it's not cheap, but here, if you don't dress properly, the results can be very bad."

Lt: Ji priminė savo pirmą patirtį Arktikoj, kai pernelyg pasitikėjo savimi ir jausmas, kai vėjo šaltis skverbiasi pro nepakankamą aprangą.
En: She recalled her first experience in the Arctic, when she was overly confident and the feeling of wind chill penetrating through insufficient clothing.

Lt: "Geriau pasiruošti dabar, nei gailėtis vėliau."
En: "It's better to prepare now than regret later."

Lt: Rokas prisėdo, stebeilydamas į horizonte išsiskiriančias baltas lygumas.
En: Rokas sat down, gazing at the white plains stretching into the horizon.

En: He felt an internal struggle between saving money and enduring an uncomfortable time if he chose incorrectly.

Lt: Galiausiai, pajutęs šaltą gūsį, suprato, kad negali nudelsti.
En: Finally, feeling a cold gust, he realized he couldn't delay.

Lt: "Sutinku, Giedre," - tarė jis pagaliau.
En: "I agree, Giedrė," he finally said.

Lt: "Man reikia tinkamos aprangos."
En: "I need proper clothing."

En: He returned to the store, having consulted with himself, and began choosing an extremely warm jacket.

En: The vendor showed Rokas how to match woolen base layers and warm gloves with his outfit.

Lt: Su kiekvienu pirkiniu, Rokas jautėsi labiau pasirengęs iššūkiams.
En: With each purchase, Rokas felt more prepared for the challenges ahead.

Lt: Kai jie išėjo iš parduotuvės, Giedrė šypsojosi,...
