En: The Tundra was cold and vast.
Lv: Zem zemo sauli, ledainās un kailās zemes izskatījās tik netverami.
En: Under the low sun, the icy and barren land looked so elusive.
Lv: Uz šīs plašās ainavas Raimonds, Ilze un Mikus stāvēja ar svaigi ķertām zivīm rokās.

En: Raimonds, an experienced outdoorsman, looked around.
Lv: "Es zinu, kas jādara," viņš teica pašpārliecināti.

Lv: " Viņš ieraki ledainajā zemē un sāka sakārtot akmeņus.
En: He dug into the icy ground and started arranging stones.

En: "I think we could use solar energy.
Lv: Mazliet folijas, pareizais leņķis, un mums būs sava saules krāsns," viņa teica, izvelkot spīdīgo materiālu no somas.
En: A little foil, the right angle, and we'll have our own solar oven," she said, pulling the shiny material from her bag.
Lv: Mikus, kurš šo ceļojumu pieredzēja tīri savas draudzības dēļ, vienkārši vēroja abus, viegli paceļot uzacis.
En: Mikus, who was on this trip purely for friendship's sake, simply watched the two, raising his eyebrows slightly.
Lv: "Es būtu gatavs vienkārši ēst tās zivis tāpat.
En: "I'd be ready to eat those fish just as they are.
Lv: Nav jākomplimentē, ja var vienkārši baudīt," viņš nošņāca, cenšoties paslēpt savu neticību.
En: No need to complicate things when you can simply enjoy," he snorted, trying to hide his disbelief.
Lv: Debates bija karstas uz tundras aukstuma fona.
En: The debate was heated against the backdrop of the tundra's cold.

Lv: Un Mikus tikai vēlējās, lai citi beidz runāt un sākot rīkoties.
En: And Mikus just wished the others would stop talking and start acting.

En: But when the noise became too much, suddenly, something interrupted their mutual quarrels.
Lv: Zem viņiem bija negaidīta dvesma siltuma.
En: Beneath them was an unexpected waft of warmth.
Lv: Tas bija karsts avots, kurš lēni kūpēja, bet droši.
En: It was a hot spring, slowly steaming but steadily.
Lv: Viņi bija apstulbuši, bet drīz vien prāta skaidrība nomainījās uz smiekliem.
En: They were stunned, but soon clarity of mind turned to laughter.
