Ga: Bhí an oíche ag titim ar theach mór teaghlaigh faoin tuath, agus bhí duilleoga an fhómhair ag gliogarnach thart ar na fuinneoga.
En: Night was falling on the large family house in the countryside, and the autumn leaves were rustling around the windows.
Ga: Bhí Cillian suite ag an mbord bia, lán le leabhair agus nótaí scaipthe ar fud na háite.
En: Cillian was sitting at the dining table, which was covered with books and notes scattered everywhere.
Ga: Bhí rud amháin á thriail aige le fada an lá—a staidéar a dhéanamh in ainneoin torann an tí.
En: He had been trying for a long time to study despite the noise of the house.
Ga: Bhí sé ag iarraidh a scóir a fheabhsú agus scoláireacht thar lear a fháil.
En: He wanted to improve his scores and get a scholarship abroad.
Ga: Bhí brú ollmhór air.
En: He was under immense pressure.
Ga: "Tá tú ag déanamh go maith, Cillian," arsa Aoife, a dheirfiúr níos óige, agus aoibh gháire uirthi.
En: "You're doing well, Cillian," said Aoife, his younger sister, with a smile.
Ga: Bhí an seomra feistithe le sceitimíní beaga a radaíodh ó Aoife i gcónaí.
En: The room was always fitted with the little excitements that Aoife radiated.
Ga: Bhí sí ann chun an t-atmaisféar a shoiléiriú le greann éadrom.
En: She was there to lighten the atmosphere with light humor.
Ga: Ní fada uathu, bhí Niamh, cara dílis Cillian, fós silte go domhain i leabhair.
En: Not far from them, Niamh, Cillian's loyal friend, was still deeply immersed in books.
Ga: D'eagraigh sí na nótaí go cúramach, mar ba nós léi é.
En: She organized the notes carefully, as was her habit.
Ga: Bhí sí dícheallach, agus b'áil léi gach sonra a ghabháil.
En: She was diligent, and she liked to capture every detail.
Ga: Ach dar ndóigh, bhí rud amháin a bhí níos tábhachtaí ná na sonraí—an tuiscint.
En: But of course, there was one thing more important than the details—understanding.
Ga: "I ndáiríre, beidh muid níos fearr as ag obair le chéile!
En: "Really, we'll be better off working together!"
Ga: " a mhol Aoife.
En: suggested Aoife.
Ga: Bhí Cillian beagán amhrasach, ach bhí a fhios aige go raibh gá leis an spreagadh sin go géar.
En: Cillian was a bit skeptical, but he knew he desperately needed that motivation.
Ga: Thosaigh siad ag staidéar le chéile.
En: They began studying together.
Ga: Chuir siad béim ar na pointí is tábhachtaí agus mhalartaigh siad smaointe.
En: They emphasized the most important points and exchanged ideas.
Ga: Oíche amháin, agus iad uile tuirseach ach dírithe, d'éirigh le Aoife rud éigin speisialta a dhéanamh.
En: One night, though tired but focused, Aoife managed to do something special.
Ga: Mhínigh sí ábhar ar leith ar bhealach soiléir do Chillian, rud a chonaic riamh mar chonstaic.
En: She explained a particular subject clearly to Cillian, something he had always seen as an obstacle.
Ga: "Ah!
En: "Ah!
Ga: Tá sé sin ciallmhar anois," a d'éirigh Cillian uaillmhianach agus solásach.
En: That makes sense now," Cillian exclaimed with ambition and relief.
Ga: Lean siad ar aghaidh leis an staidéar go dtangthas an lá mór—an lá na scrúdaithe.
En: They continued studying until the big day arrived—the day of the exam.
Ga: Chuaigh Cillian isteach san halla scrúdaithe le hintinn athnuachan agus neart nua.
