Story Transcript:
Fi: Halki syksyisen ilman kantautui lasten innostunut nauru.
En: The excited laughter of children echoed through the autumn air.
Fi: Oli toinen viikko kouluvuotta, ja Aino, Eero ja Mikael olivat mukana historian luokkaretkellä Suomenlinnan merilinnoituksessa.
En: It was the second week of the school year, and Aino, Eero, and Mikael were on a history field trip to the Suomenlinna sea fortress.
Fi: Aurinko kimmelsi meren pinnalla ja lehdet tanssivat tuulessa ruskan väreissä.
En: The sun sparkled on the sea's surface, and the leaves danced in the wind in fall colors.
Fi: Aino kulki ryhmän mukana, mutta hänen mielessään kieppui ajatus.
En: Aino walked with the group, but a thought spun in her mind.
En: She had heard an old story about a hidden chamber, concealed somewhere in the fortress's labyrinth.
Fi: Eero käveli Ainon vierellä, vilkuillen kelloon.
En: Eero walked next to Aino, glancing at his watch.
Fi: Hän halusi pitää aikataulusta kiinni.
En: He wanted to keep to the schedule.
Fi: Mikael puolestaan katseli pilviä ja unelmoi suurista seikkailuista, jotka häntä kenties odottivat jossain kaukana.
En: Mikael, on the other hand, watched the clouds and dreamed of grand adventures that might await him somewhere far away.
Fi: Retken opas kertoi linnoituksen historiasta, mutta Ainon katse harhaili.
En: The guide of the trip spoke about the history of the fortress, but Aino's gaze wandered.
En: She knew this could be her chance to find the hidden chamber and become a part of history.
Fi: "Mitä jos etsitään se kammio?"
En: "What if we search for the chamber?"
En: she whispered to Eero and Mikael when the guide turned their back.
En: "We need to stay with the group," he warned, but Aino's eyes shone with the desire for adventure.
Fi: Mikael, aina kaipaamassa jotain uutta, nyökkäsi innostuneena.
En: Mikael, always seeking something new, nodded excitedly.
Fi: "Mennään vain!
En: "Let's go!
En: This might be our only chance," he encouraged.
Fi: Aino johdatti heidät pois polulta, linnoituksen varjoisiin käytäviin.
En: Aino led them off the path, into the fortress's shadowy corridors.
Fi: Kiviseinät aivan kuin kuiskasivat heille vanhoja salaisuuksia.
En: The stone walls seemed to whisper old secrets to them.
Fi: He kulkivat mutkittelevia reittejä, kunnes löysivät kapean portaan.
En: They traveled along winding routes until they found a narrow staircase.
Fi: Sydämet jyskyttäen he laskeutuivat alas pimeään, ja edessään he näkivät kivisen oven.
En: With hearts pounding, they descended into the darkness and saw a stone door ahead of them.
Fi: Juuri kun Aino oli aikeissa avata oven, he kuulivat askeleita yläpuoleltaan.
En: Just as Aino was about to open the door, they heard footsteps above them.
Fi: Eero hätkähti.
En: Eero jumped.
