Story Transcript:
Fi: Keltaiset ja punaiset lehdet leijailivat kevyesti maahan Rovaniemen torilla.
En: The yellow and red leaves floated gently to the ground in Rovaniemi's market square.
Fi: Tuuli puhalsi raikkaasti, muistuttaen jälleen kerran talven lähestymisestä.
En: The wind blew briskly, once again reminding of winter's approach.
Fi: Aino seisoi keskellä vilkasta toria, silmäillen kojuja ympärillään.
En: Aino stood in the middle of the bustling market, surveying the stalls around her.
Fi: Hänen rinnallaan seisoi Liisa, Ainon lapsuudenystävä, joka nykyään asui Helsingissä.
En: Beside her stood Liisa, Aino's childhood friend, who now lived in Helsinki.
En: The city had become part of Liisa, which showed in her stylish coat and quick steps.
Fi: Aino kaipasi jotain lämmintä ja tuttua.
En: Aino longed for something warm and familiar.
En: She had memories of her grandmother's old coat, soft and warm.
En: Perhaps, if she could find a similar one, she would feel closer to her grandmother and the good old times.
Fi: Liisa huomasi Ainon mietteliään ilmeen.
En: Liisa noticed Aino's pensive expression.
Fi: "Mistä me aloitamme?"
En: "Where shall we start?"
Fi: hän kysyi innokkaasti.
En: she asked eagerly.
Fi: Aino hymyili ystävälleen, muttei voinut olla tuntematta pientä etäisyyttä heidän välillään.
En: Aino smiled at her friend but couldn't help feeling a slight distance between them.
Fi: "Etsin talvitakkia", Aino vastasi ja he lähtivät kiertämään toria yhdessä.
En: "I'm looking for a winter coat," Aino replied, and they began to explore the market together.
Fi: Yhtäkkiä Aino huomasi tutun näköisen hahmon erään kojun takana.
En: Suddenly, Aino noticed a familiar figure behind a stall.
Fi: Tuomo, paikallinen kauppias, tervehti heitä lämpimästi.
En: Tuomo, a local merchant, greeted them warmly.
Fi: "Mitä etsitään?"
En: "What are you looking for?"
Fi: hän kysyi ystävällisesti.
En: he asked kindly.
En: "I'm looking for a coat similar to the one my grandmother had," she explained.
Fi: Tuomo hymyili viisaasti.
En: Tuomo smiled wisely.
Fi: "Taidan tietää, mitä etsit."
En: "I think I know what you're looking for."
Fi: Hän kaivoi esiin vanhan, mutta kauniisti säilytetyn takin.
En: He dug out an old but beautifully preserved coat.
En: It was dark blue, perfect for autumn, and very similar to her grandmother's coat.
Fi: Aino tunsi heti lämpöä ja nostalgiaa.
En: Aino immediately felt warmth and nostalgia.
Fi: "Oletko edes tutkinut hintaa?"
En: "Have you even checked the price?"
Fi: Liisa kysyi epäuskoisesti, kun he katsoivat hintalappua.
En: Liisa asked incredulously as they looked at the price tag.
