Cs: V poklidném podzimním odpoledni, kdy zlaté a jantarové listy pokrývaly ulice Prahy, panoval v malém studentském pokoji na koleji Karlovy univerzity ruch.
En: On a peaceful autumn afternoon, when golden and amber leaves covered the streets of Praha, there was a bustle in the small student room at Karlova univerzita dormitory.

Cs: Na sdíleném stole se hromadily papíry, učebnice a notebooky.
En: Papers, textbooks, and laptops were piling up on the shared table.

Cs: Jan a Petr, spolubydlící, seděli na dvou nevýrazných židlích a pozorovali chaos okolo nich.
En: Jan and Petr, the roommates, sat on two inconspicuous chairs and watched the chaos around them.

Cs: Byli těsně před velkou prezentací.
En: They were on the verge of a big presentation.

Cs: S napětím se připojila ke studiu.

Cs: I ona se trápila s prezentací, i když to nedávala najevo.
