Cs: Začalo to obyčejným podzimním ránem.
En: It began on an ordinary autumn morning.

Cs: Listy padaly z větví, zahalovaly město do teplých barev.
En: The leaves were falling from branches, enveloping the city in warm colors.

Cs: V nemocnici byl klid, ale Jana cítila v srdci nepokoj.
En: The hospital was calm, but Jana felt unrest in her heart.

Cs: Už několik dní čekala se svým synem Lukášem na operaci.
En: She had been waiting with her son Lukáš for his surgery for several days.

Cs: Marek, manžel, byl u nich, vždy se snažil udržet náladu veselou.
En: Marek, her husband, was with them, always trying to keep the mood cheerful.

Cs: Lukáš seděl na posteli, obklopený plyšovými hračkami a kresbami na zdech.
En: Lukáš sat on the bed, surrounded by stuffed toys and drawings on the walls.

Cs: Byla to místnost, která měla vnést trochu radosti do chladného nemocničního prostředí.
En: It was a room meant to bring a little joy into the cold hospital environment.

Cs: Přestože se snažil úsměvně lámat tíživé ticho, v očích mu hrála nervozita.
En: Although he tried to smile and break the oppressive silence, nervousness played in his eyes.

Cs: Jana si všimla, jak Lukáš svírá plyšového medvídka.
En: Jana noticed how Lukáš was clutching a stuffed teddy bear.

Cs: Přišla k posteli a posadila se vedle něj.
En: She came to the bed and sat next to him.

Cs: "Víš, když jsem byla malá, maminka mi vyprávěla pohádky.
En: "You know, when I was little, my mom would tell me fairy tales.

Cs: Byly to pohádky o hrdinech, kteří vždy překonali strach," začala Jana.
En: They were fairy tales about heroes who always overcame fear," Jana began.

Cs: Lukáš zvedl hlavu a pozorně poslouchal.
En: Lukáš lifted his head and listened attentively.

Cs: "A co dělali ti hrdinové, mami?"
En: "And what did those heroes do, mom?"

Cs: zeptal se tiše.
En: he asked quietly.

Cs: "Jednou byl jeden malý rytíř," pokračovala Jana, "měl také strach.
En: "Once there was a small knight," Jana continued, "he was scared too.

Cs: Ale věřil si a věděl, že i když se bojí, má kolem sebe rodinu, která ho miluje.
En: But he believed in himself and knew that even though he was afraid, he had a family who loved him.

Cs: A tak se nebál jít dál."
En: And so he wasn't afraid to move forward."

Cs: Příběh pomalu uklidňoval Lukáše i Janu.
En: The story slowly calmed both Lukáš and Jana.

Cs: Marek se podíval na Janu a usmál se.
En: Marek looked at Jana and smiled.

Cs: Cítil také úzkost, ale věděl, že je důležité podpořit svého syna.
En: He also felt anxiety but knew it was important to support his son.

Cs: Chvíli poté přišla sestra, aby odvezla Lukáše na operaci.
En: A little while later, a nurse came to take Lukáš to surgery.

Cs: Jana se usmívala, povzbuzovala ho, ale uvnitř ji sžíral strach.
En: Jana smiled, encouraging him, but inside she was consumed with fear.

Cs: Když Lukáše odvezli, Jana se otočila k Marekovi.
En: When Lukáš was taken away, Jana turned to Marek.

Cs: Jejich oči se setkaly a Jana si dovolila pustit několik slz.
En: Their eyes met, and Jana allowed herself to shed a few tears.

Cs: Po dlouhých hodinách čekání se otevřely dveře a doktor vstoupil.
En: After long hours of waiting, the doors opened and the doctor...
